  1. Not in the wild (that we know of!). There is talk of re-introducing a whole host of species. But I don't know if lynx was ever native.

The Scottish Wildcat is Britain's last native large mammal predator,and they are in rapid decline so if you have seen a lynx it must be one that has escaped captivity at some time, there are lots of large non native cats roaming out there that were released by their stupid owners when the dangerous animal license was brought into action or they got to big to handle as a pet.
