  1. Yes, in the Appalachias.

  2. sure, a large part of my family is from Williamson West Virginia and many of them live in total squalor. Wooden "cabins", very run down trailers, etc.... Right across the river is Aflex, Kentucky. It is one of the worst poverty "villages" I have ever seen. Further up the "holler" or road is Burnwell, KY. It gets worse, I don't recommend you go to far up that holler alone. Good luck, it is really naturally beautiful.

  3. OMG, I live in West Virginia I am from Cleveland, Ohio and I married my husband who grew up here.  He grew up in McDowell co, WV.  There is 2 traffic lights in the whole county.  This place when i went there is so behind time. If you like to hunt this is the place.  Do not get me wrong there are some nice people there.  Most of the people have no teeth and you can barley understand them.  This is one place you have to go to.  Backwards is all that I can say... Real Hillbillies!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. oh yeah, there are still mountain folk. There are fewer of them, yeah, but they're still out there
