Youbetcha.  They're all over the place, actually.

In some instances where there is a high volume of traffic moving in and out of large yards or interchanges, local mamagment of operations is clearly indicated, and these are the most likely the places to find staffed interlocking limits that are not controlled from a great distance.

Centralization does have drawbacks.

Yes: there are several staffed towers in the Chicago area, including a slide-lever frame at the terminal station which is on the second floor opposite Union station (sorry but I do not remember its name). The New York subway system has many staffed towers, including Columbus Circle and Coney Beach.

The remote control of interlockings is becoming commonplace: for instance, the Oakland area in California is controlled from Omaha, Nebraska, over 2000 miles away.
