Are there such things as mother-daughter cruises?

I'd like to take a vacation with just my mother and I. Are there cruises specifically for this type of thing? Just moms and their daughters? If so, can you point me in the right direction?

  1. i've never heard of one.  you can google and see.  even if it's not a mother-daughter cruise, it will still be special just spending time with your mom.

  2. I don't know that there would be and entire cruise for something such as this, but I know you could create a "Cruise Group" for it.  A cruise group is a group of people that all book a cruise at the same time.  The benefit to this is that you get discounted, and sometimes free rooms or upgrades depending how many people in the group.  You'll get special dining arrangements and I believe a special gathering/meeting room for your group.  You don't need to know the others, or even associate with them.  You may even open an opportunity for your other female frineds & family to come along.

Check with the cruise lines about this or check cruisecritic.com.  Good luck and have fun.

  3. Good for you! I hope my daughter wants to take me on a cruise someday!

I've never seen cruises specifically advertised for mother/daughter, but if you both share a hobby like scrapbooking or cake decorating, there's a cruise out there for you! Then you could spend time together doing something you are both passionate about!

    Good luck and happy sails!

  4. I'm sure there are, but you don't need that!

Just take a cruise. It will be more exciting than you think, even if it's not just for mother and daughter bonding.

I've always wanted to take a cruise to the Mediterranean with my mom. :-)
