Are there such things as skating schools? If so where are they?

I mean a grade school that also provides figure skating. Like you learn academics and figure skate.

Which country are you in?  Here in the UK there is a sports academy in West London somewhere that offers skaters the opportunity to train at a (relatively) local rink, fitting the training in with their school work.  I don't know whether any other countries have such a facility.

Great question! It's nice that you want to continue public school while skating because it is possible. A lot of skaters take online classes, especially in college, but they are top athletes in serious training, therefore it isn't really necessary.

If you can't fit skating in with your current schedule, and your school doesn't have any programs to take classes on certain days then see if online classes are available. However if you really wanted to go to school here are a few options.

It should be at the skating link. As you can see it's for other performing arts as well. I have no experience with this school however so try a trial class first. You should know that it's in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

This is another school offering a figure skating program. It is a private school which you must apply to. It is located in Faribault, Minnesota. Here is the link:

If you aren't located near these, try searching schools in your area and consider transferring to one that may have a good program for you. If you cannot find one I recommend online courses, or fitting your schedule around school.

Consider your current level in skating, your goals, and what you plan to do with the rest of your life. Only 3 skaters get to go to the Olympics, out of the thousands of skaters just trying to get past regionals. Good luck!!

its very expensive though

it might just be easier to homeschool or school over the internet
