Going on a cruise and need a taxi from the San Juan pier to Hacienda Carabali, the 600 acre adventure ranch. There will be 4 of us going about 3:30 or 4pm and going back to the boat at approximately 8:30 pm. Should this be a problem? How much should the trip cost each way? Thanks for any help!!

  1. That's a beautiful paso fino horse back riding hacienda by Luquillo Beach about 40 miles from San Juan. I'm just thinking of traffic and to be honest you'll be spending maybe 2 hours at the hacienda, and to me that's not worth my while. You are ambitious, but if that is what you want to do, well, have fun!

Yes, there are taxis in that whole area.

    $36.00 Taxi hourly wage

    or

    $1.75 initial charge + 10 cents 1/19 fraction of a mile

    Go to: http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com

    and search for taxi rates

  2. Yes there're Taxis in the Piers...Tourist Taxis  have a Flat rate to Most Tourist Locations, mall and Hotels....

    check it @

  3. i dont know the price but i think that hacienda carabali close at 5pm so tkae care of your hours.

  4. The taxi will be very expensive.  There is a set price for certain areas. It will cost about $72 each way (probably more now that there is a gasoline surcharge added).

I also think it may be difficult to get a taxi to go to back to the ship.

You should check with Hacienda Carabali to see if they can supply transportation and/or see if they have any recommendations on taxi drivers that will do it.

You other alternative will be to rent a car.  It will be the cheaper way to go. It is an easy, straight forward drive there.

You will have fun doing the ATVs.  It is very fun!
