  1. Hey, there is a HUGE chain of FNACs. They have the biggest choice of electronic in France. There is also Darty, which has rather small electronic (for kitchens etc.) but not only!

Both stores you can find very easy in Paris. There are everywhere.

There is also Saturn (same owner ads Media Markt), which is localized in Ivry, just near the Paris (RER C, on east-south ). But the prices are everywhere the same.

If you want stuff concerning computer science only, visit surcouf.

But if I were you I would go to the Fnac.

here you have the web pages:

    www.fnac.fr

    www.darty.fr

    www.planete-saturn.fr

    www.surcouf.com

  2. There are loads.

First of all, there's Surcouf, for computer stuff only. Their main store (Paris 12) is absolutely huge, it's on three levels. They have a couple of other stores in Paris and other cities. Look at their web site for the addresses (and the catalogue).

Other high tech stores are FNAC and Virgin Megastore. Again, the web sites list the addresses of each store.

I also recommend taking a walk through the neighbourhood of Surcouf's main store. It is full of Chinese-owned shops (there must be hundreds of them) all selling high tech stuff and trying to beat each other on price.
