Are there tutors, that specialize in helping people memorize large amounts of material?

I doubt it.

If it is lists, break it into small chunks, memorize a small chunk, go on to the next, but keep reviewing the prior chunk.

For example, to memorize 50 state capitals, do it five states at a time.

Sometimes you can picture something in your mind to help, like a picture of a Jefferson nickel because Jefferson City is the capital of ....

I think its your own strategy on how to memorize such that large amounts of material... For you I can suggest if youll just have to find techniques on memorizing. You can used mnemonic like getting the main idea or the first letter of the word. That's the best way that you can do it. No need to ask tutors just ask some techniques and strategies on it.
