Question:

Are there uniform guidelines for volleyball shorts?

i found these really cool volleyball shorts at this website, www.stuffit-online.net, but they have designs on them and i'm not sure if there are regulations on colorful shorts. Should i just keep them for practice or are they ok for games?

pretty much anything but no basketball shorts or anything. I had bright pink shorts last year.

save them 4 practice UNLESS there black or navy then go ahead and wear em

speaking as a man, the shorter the better.

most of the time your shorts are part of your uniform. for some tournaments or leagues thats sometimes a rule. so you have to match with the rest of your team. it should be okay for practice but not for games.

well shortness doesnt matter, but i know in my district they promote team unity, means everything has to be the same(spandex and jersey) not so much as of the maker but the color, the only player who is allowed to be visibly different is the D.S/Libero

i would just keep em for practice and when you play like at rec centers and outside tournaments and leagues

that would be a question to ask your coach maybe your entire team could get those shorts if your coach says no, then just keep them for practice, other wise just use spandex that matches you jersey!

If I were you, which in some cases I am, I would get Asics volleyball shorts. They are the pro- volleyball shorts that people in Indiana wear for club. If you are serious about volleyball (like I am) then I would also purchase about 3 pairs of high Asics socks, then get Asics shoes (only about $40) and a pair of Active Ankles that prevent you from rolling your ankles (a little more money, but worth the cost of preventing an injury on your ankles, that help you so much. $35 an ankle.) All right I better leave it at that. Have fun playing volleyball!

*BTW you could so weart the colorful shorts for practices, but not for games. You don't have to wear spandex for practices, it's just if you want to always wear what you would to a game, and so that you look "professional".

im not sure but we have blue spandex that match our blue jerseys. if they match your jerseys they should be ok but im not sure

you will have to ask your coach...........yea you can wear them during practice..... i think so you are just practicing lolzzz like ours we have to wear black spandex shorts

In my co-ed team, girls bring in cool spandex with all kinds of colors/styles. I have no problem with them wearing cool stuff during practice, but in league play everyone should dress in the same "uniform".

As long as your coach is cool with you, you can wear them in practice. If your teammates all want the same shorts that you have, and your game-community is okay with the "designs", go with them.

welll it depends if you are playing for a school teamm or not.because to be in regulation the whole team has to be wearing the same identical uniform. excluding libero.so i would just buy them anyway and show themm off at practice(:
