Are there vinyl shower doors instead of nickel/steel?

I have EXTREMELY hard water and it is SO hard to clean the metal on the shower door tracks... are there vinyl ones? I cannot find any at Home Depot or Lowes...

I am not aware of any.  You can look into perhaps powder coated metals - usu they are in a solid color like white or bisque, etc.  Check into Basco Shower Doors & Century Bathworks.  These are not sold at the box stores.  You would have to check their websites and/or call them to find out if you have any local dealers.  Otherwise, you might have to consider a shower curtain. Century also also a patented option called Diamon Fusion which doesnt' allow the minerals etc to bond to the glass- something to look into esp if you have hard water.  It is unique compared to other "coatings" that only last a couple of years at best.
