  1. Your IQ actually stays the same your entire life. You have the same IQ as a 5 year-old as you do a 50 year-old. IQ is not reading everything and being smart. IQ is pretty much how much can you comprehend and fit into your mind without much effort. For example, I have an IQ of 132 and never study for tests at school, peak at my notes 5 minutes before the test, get 92+, and still remember everything I supposedly studied (90+ on all finals). Of course when you're 5 they would test you differently to determine your IQ.

  30. Yes, actually, with a lot of enrichment activities.  IQ is basically the ability to puzzle stuff out, so if you spend a lot of time reading, learning math, learning science and how things work, etc. etc., you use a lot of your brain power and build on it.  Reading alone won't do it, you need to do things with it.  Playing an instrument also helps, but if that is tough, don't let it bother you.

I grew up with a lot of science stuff like telescopes, microscopes, and lots of games that require thinking such as chess.

Note: while agree with the one poster, ordinarily you would have the same IQ throughout life, studies have shown that you can increase IQ with enrichment. Thing is, the kid has to actually ENJOY it to continue to pursue it.
