  1. your landlord still owns the property, as much of an inconvenience as it may seem all he needs is 24 hr notice although if it is inconvenient for you, ask to postpone untill a reasonable date can be set

  2. 1 is acceptable only if they gave the notice prior to 8 the previous day.

2 is completely acceptable as with remodeling it takes a few days

  3. If it's in your lease there is nothing you can do about it.

    You don't own the place.

  4. Of course they are legal.  You rent premises, and sometimes repairs/upgrades are needed.  do you actually expect that these folks should conform to your time restraints ?  Get a grip.  These folks do the best they can in informing you of intrusions.

  5. I understand how you feel, but your landlord has the right to enter the premises after giving you a 24 hour notice for repairs.

  6. Your landlord owns the property; be glad that you live where your landlord is actually spending money to improve the premises and your living conditions!

Depending on your jurisdiction, you can check with your city and/or county office of landlord-tenant relations; but commonly, landlords are allowed to enter your premises once or twice a year after giving you 24 or 48 hours notice. Emergencies, such as water, fire, electric, etc., are special circumstances and allow the landlord to take immediate remedial action since life/limb/property are at risk.

As far as 'rescheduling' your particular window/s, that's unlikely, since the contractors plan the work as efficiently as possible. If you are worried about someone stealing anything, or just messing up your apartment, make plans to take time off of work so that you can be home. Otherwise, just let the Earth revolve. And enjoy your new window/s.

  7. Yes they are.

24 hours notice is all that is needed for a landlord to maintain, do repairs and inspect their property.

It isn't your apartment, it is their apartment.   You should be thankful that the landlord is replacing your windows and maintaining the property.

  8. His first notice is not correct.  He needs to give you a reason, not just notice.

The second is fine, be glad you're getting new windows.
