Are these Good Reasons why the Yankees "Suck"?

Question

1.They have Bad Pitching

2.They have Highest Payroll and cant win

3.Their Players cheated and that why they won, and they suddenly decide to play clean and cant win

4. Most of the Players are g*y

These reasons are from my Brother , this is what i have to live with :]

No. I dislike it when people make ignorant statements like that. If you're gonna diss somebody at least make fair statements. I mean with the exception of the bad pitching the rest are unfair. I just think that the injuries got to em, bullpen hasn't been the best and y'all need some starting pitching. Nothing's wrong with Girardi imo, its the players that aren't stepping up.. i mean with the exception of Moose and maybe Petitte and Damon

They are just not playing up to their potential this year. They need to get their act together & fast if they want any chance at all to make it to the Playoffs.

1.  That would be a valid reason why their record is bad this year.

2.  Just because you pay someone does not equate to success, look at Wal-mart, they never pay employees well and they still succeed.

3.  If you look at the list of players mentioned in the Mitchell Report that were from the yankees, only a few were actually part of the team at the time of the "winning" as far as championships and half of them did not really even contribute to the success...Pettite and Clemens.

4.  Their orientation has nothing to do with success on the field of play.

What you need to realize (something that I realized long ago) when it comes to family there is only so much intelligence to go around, you obviously took a lion share of the intelligence and your brother is what is left over.  I always tell my siblings that it is a shame that I was able to secure and the looks and brains in the family!

Sounds about right, but lets not forget they have a excuse for why they lose and can't win, and face it, they are in New York. THATS A GOOD ENOUGH REASON FOR ME RIGHT THERE.

No def. not, but I feel your pain.

I have a younger brother who is just the same. I'm a White Sox fan and of course he's a Cubs fan.

His reasons for why the White Sox "suck" are quite lame as well.

He has used #3 and #4 from your list and I've heard much more. I remember after we won in 05' that was just luck to him.

Whenever we win "it's just luck" and he seems to point out every minute that we have a hitters park not mentioning that also makes out pitchers better because they have to pitch there.

So trust me I know how it is. It's pure ignorance, but I suppose for some ignorance really is bliss.

None of those reasons are valid. The only reason that the Yankees are struggling this year is because of a multitude of injuries. I think they will make a run for the Wild Card. Matsui and Wang are due back soon.

Wow I feel sorry for you. I hope he isn't clouding your view of how Red Sox fan are. I agree with reason one. That starting pitching without Joba or Wang is extremely weak. That bullpen is SO overrated. Veras and farnsworth sucks. I'm sorry but just because they had both been performing OK doesn't make them solid options. They are just bad pitchers. Mariano had been perfect in saves but he has given up runs in tied games 4 or 5 times. The other 3, not so much so number 4 might be legitimate ;)
