The initial 6 or so matches are normal matches (not fixed) as it decides who is in the top four based on capabilities. The bottom four are then used to fix matches with others for the latter games.

We have to see that by fixing it is a win win situation for all involved. The worst team also gets its money for having spent so much. the sponsors get their money's worth. If you notice most of the recent matches have been close matches which means more advertisement time for sponsors and more revenue. Most of the costly players are let to score so that they are a good assest t sell next time.
If one has a keen eye you can make out the diference b/w a fixed and not fixed match. The fielders will intentionally throw at the worng end of a probably run out. Batsmen will get out by miss timing the shot, playing by exposing the wickets and will show slopiiness in running b/w the wickets to get run out.
Again not all the 11 players will be invovled , it is just a few.
