My budget is $500ish. Is there any other brands that offer better drums for the same price?

  1. Hi Derek

Ludwing is a well worthwhile investment but I think you will pay a few dollars for them. Soundwise, they are the best drums ever especially in the studio. The John Bonham sound is what made him knows and he always supported Ludwig.

Secondly, these Ludwig will double in price over time. Buy them.

  2. the cymbal stands are single braced,(therefore a bit weak) the cymbals are probably cheezy, (most econo kits are). ludwig has ebjoyed a decent reputation for most of my lifetime but this is an entry level set. look into gretsch, sunlite and mapex entry level sets too!
