Are these PERSONIFICATIONS ?!?!?!?

ok so i have a couple of quotes and sentences so i need ur help and plz tell me if these are or not personifications ok? thnx and if you forgot what PERSONIFICATIONS are click on the link below :)

so these are the following sentences, plz be specific about which ones are and which ones aren't personifications

a) "...and the music would look Liesel in the face"

b) "the brass knocker eyed her from the door"

c) "she closed her eyes and her ears held the notes"

These are personifications because:

personification means giving human-like qualities to non-living objects

A; music is not living but it looks liesel in the face

B: the brass knocker is not living but it looks at her

C; ears are not living and cannot hold items

A and B are personifications.

In A, music is personified by saying that it could "look" -  a human, a PERSON action.

In B, the brass knocker "eyed" - another person action.

C MIGHT be a personification, although I'd probably say no more than yes, because [hypothetically] the human trait given to the ears was how they "held the notes" - but humans can't 'hold' notes in that sense. So strictly speaking, I can't say that it's a "person action."

Both A and B are.

A: The music is doing the looking. "Looking" is usually an action associated with humans and is therefore personification.

B: Same idea, the "brass knocker" is doing the action - so again personification.

C: I'm not 100% sure with this one...ears can be thought of as inanimate but they're part of the body...tough one >.< Sorry, I can only be sure about the first two...this one is an enigma.
