Are these Pumas alright for running in?

Puma's are c**p, always have been always will be. For a serious runner, Puma will get you hurt.

For techical running pumas, the closest to the Trigon would be the Puma Complete Prevail (neutral). For a stability shoe, the Complete Tenos would be appropriate.

You shouldn't run in Puma's, they aren't for distance running anyways. Your best bet would be the Saucony's or another mainstream brand (Brooks, Nike, Asics, etc.). Those shoes can provide you with comfort and stability.
