  1. caso4 and cacl2 r salts

    h2o ie water a neutralizing agent.

    but when water reacts with these 2 salts it form a base and an acid.

    like

    caso4 + 2h2o  =  ca(oh)2   +   h2so4.

    (salt)     (water)     (base)          (acid)

    cacl2 + h2o       =      ca(oh)2    +    hcl.

    (salt)    (water)           (base)          (acid)

    so thats it.................................

  3. no they are salts.  and water is neutral it just causes the salt to ionize.

    shradhs you have the reaction the wrong way arround, its acid + base --> salt + water
