Question:

Are these ghosts?

I took this at a race track a few weeks ago. I had a strange feeling the whole time I was there and have never felt that way before or since. I'm not the supernatural type, so this is a little new to me.

Here is the picture. The orbs are in the sky. I'm positive they are not reflections off the lens:

  1. Well i am a paranormal investigator , but i also am working on a career in graphic arts and it is possible they are moisture orbs and yet it looks like it could be photoshop as well with a brush or a simple eraser heres what i say on orbs:

Orbs are not signs of a haunting, they are mostly just energy, not a entity or spirit/ghost. I've never seen an orb manifest into any mist or apparition. In The 90's the revolution of digital images took place and thus bringing upon interest to paranormal investigation and research. The company Sony brought about night vision (ability to see and record pictures in darkness) which using them they started to notice new anomalous phenomenon Orbs. Thousands upon thousands these are loaded on the internet. Just about everyone with a digital camera would capture orbs. Analyzed by experts they started noticing that photos of orbs were occurring in places that were not haunted indoors and outdoors. Scientists would do experiments had thrown and blown dust or powder in front of cameras caught in the flash they gave convincing Orbs that looked exactly like those seen in many of the pictures that people search for photos all the time and look at on orb/ghost sites. Outdoors in misty conditions photos produce tens of thousands of orbs and rain produced many in photos as well. Moving Orbs seen on the night vision video are simply the result of the camcorder capturing a moving image of the dust or water droplets as they get carried past by the slight currents of moving air that are Moving Orbs are simply the result of moving currents of air and in one case an insect, dust , pollen etc. flying through the air .It goes to show that your common anomalous phenomena "Orbs" happens to be common things such as dust, bugs , rain , moisture etc. reflecting back the light of the flash and also to close to the lens.

REASONS TO MISTAKE WHAT ORBS ARE OR CAN BE!

    Pollen

    Moisture

    Lens Glare

    Sun Flare

    Snow

    Rain

    Bug

    Dust

    Fog

    Change in Temp.

    Finger in front of Flash.

  2. Looks like flash reflections off dust to me. Very typical with digital flash cameras, especially in dusty places like where you were at. When I tried to take pictures of my wife riding horses (in a large covered dirt track which was kind of dark), I'd get anything from "orbs" just like you got, to an all-out fog effect, simply from flash reflection off the dust in the air.

  3. I too feel strange when I am at the track, the excitement of the bet, the anxiety of waiting for the results, the agony of the lost money, but I think that's normal.

I agree with the answer that this is probably a reflection from the post lights. If the air was humid these lights could probably reflect off the moisture in the air and appear as lights in the sky (although in line and close to the original light source). I doubt that you would have any reason to notice this since it isn't anything unusual.

Why could they not be reflections off the lens given all the light sources that were present when you took the picture?

I don't think they are ghosts. Of course I also don't think orbs (even when all normal explanations are eliminated) are evidence of ghosts either.

  4. The "orbs" form a triangle which is conducive to the light on the poles in a parallelogram

  5. Those are definitely orbs and the weirdest orbs ive ever seen online in a photo.  When I get close to my screen to stare at the large one without my glasses it disappears!  yes those are orbs and you may feel a little easier about that kind of thing if you start to research orbs online.  I only found out about orbs like a year or 2 ago, and since, ive found them in some of my old photos and im not talking about just on line...... if you go thru your old albums you may see some.  Don't let those who don't wish to believe you bother you.  Once theyve experienced something like this, if they ever do, they will understand.  Until then, they are just ignorant.

  6. Those are reflections from the lights.  If you look closely, you will see they are in line with their prospective lights.  These are not caused by a flash from the camera, but the adjoining lights.

    Sorry, no ghosts there.

  7. looks like photoshop to me...

  8. they look like orbs to me. see them all the time when i take pics of my nephew

  9. PEOPLE!!

It's dust on the lens (if you're lucky), dust between the lens segments if you're not.

  10. I just got a feeling when I clicked on the image. You have to be careful though, it is not easy to determine what is real and what is make believe. Your mind could play tricks on you and make you think they are real.

Did you noticed it right away or was it one of those thing that you notice way after you upload the photo?

  11. Can't be sure but they look like reflections from the Light Poles to me. Light and photographs are very weird how they react with each other. Those spheres of light are too perfectly round looking and they look the same. I think it is reflection of light caught on film.....And no I am not a non-believer.....I without a doubt believe in Ghosts and Spirits ....I just do not think thats what those are

  12. Looks like some one knows Photoshop.....

but even though the photo is real then, the big orbs may be the reflection of the bright lights on the lens

  13. Well Alt, we have been joking about this for a while, so I'm not sure if you are joking or not. Therefore I will reserve my opinion.  :o)

  14. Were you using a digital camera?  Digital cameras can reflect dust particles in the air more so than a film camera.

Try this experiment:  shake a rug or a piece of clothing out, then take a picture in the room.  You'll see hundreds of "orbs".

Not saying there isn't such a thing as orbs, but with a digital camera, I think your chances of that are less so.

  15. That's gotta be ghost, there's no other explanation :)

  16. GHOSTS DO NOT  EXIST!

  17. Thats' really spooky, it's like they have the whole place surrounded. Don't think you should go back there.

Edit: I don't think it can be from the lights, the spacing is different...it's bizarre.
