Are these good citites tor raise families?

Question

Are these good cities to raise a family? I mean low crime levels and good education or anything else that makes a good city to raise a family in. Also on a little of a budget.

Here are some I came up with:

Omaha, Nebraska

Moscow, Pennsylvania

Lowell, Massachuttes

Boston, Massachuttes

Buffalo, New York

Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina

Columbia, Ohio

Where do you think is the best to raise a family and what do you think of these cities?

I don't know about any of these except for Raleigh. It is a great area, but you will do better financially if you go outside of the city.  Apex, NC is wonderful and not far from Raleigh.   Wake Forest, NC is not far either and a good place for a family.

The problems with this area is that it is becoming so popular and the population is growing rapidly.  If you consider other areas around the piedmont of NC, within an hour drive of Raleigh,  you may find an ideal place to raise your family.
