Question:

Are these good jumps?

This year is my first doing track and field. I'm a high school senior and I long jumped 17'9 (and 3/4) and I triple jumped 35'6. I'm almost 18 years old, 5'5 and 130lbs with approximately 12.3, 100m speed. I've also never worked out in the weight room.

I seriously want to get better. Are my jumps good for a starter? What do you think is the limit if I work as hard as I can and increase my speed, weight lift and regularly practice jumping?

  1. Thats okay for a beginner.... Its all going to depend on your coach if you improve....not alot of coaches are good at the triple, but the long jump is more speed than technique.

Long jump like the high jump...is drive the knee the whole time, if you think of nothing else

  2. uhh the jumper at our schools got you beat if you wanted to do really well you shouldnt have waited till u you were a senior to start
