Are these good lines for poems?

ok these two lines are from two totally different poems that i wrote i just want to know if they are good and what your thoughts are on them

line #1: "when I wished on a shooting star I didn't know that it was the meteor that was gonna crash into my dreams"

line #2: "every rose has some thorns but my rose always seems to have the most"

  1. They are a little bit cliche...try to come up with something more original, something that isn't overused.

    Nice attempts, though...good luck finding something that works. ^^ <3


  2. Yes, I agree with the other person. These lines are quite cliche.

    However, lines by themselves aren't necessarily good or bad. It's how they are used within the entirety of the poem and how the rest of the poem reacts to those lines.

    So the answer is neither are better, you need to make them work!
