Are these good subs?

Question

They are fairly cheap and they are very powerful. 600 watts RMS. Are they a good buy? and will this amplifier work on it...

if your gonna get that amp you would be much better off getting a better sub with around the same rms because that sub is not all that great

go with one kicker 12" cvx dvc 2ohm to the amp you were looking at. The cvx is pretty much the solobaric except its a circle and I heard they are suppose to have a little better sound quality not that kicker is known for sq but ya. I have two kicker 12" cvx 4ohms on a kicker sx 1250.1 and they bumpppp.

Pass on the Pyramid sub, if you are looking at products on PartsExpress, consider the Dayton drivers over the Pyramid.  Better quality and design.

And that amplifier would be fine for either sub.  But you should know, subwoofers aren't really powerful or not powerful.  The amplifier supplies the power.  The power rating on a sub is how much power it can handle, not put out.  You can have a 2,000 watt sub, but if your amp puts out 100 watts, then that's all the sub is getting regardless of what's written on it.  Make sense?  If you're going to pay attention to anything about a sub, pay attention to it's efficiency.  The higher that number is, the louder it will be with less power.

you get what you pay for.  i think you could buy a single 12 for about the same price and in the right enclosure will be so much better and alot louder
