  1. If you want a betta, they best tank mates are dwarf frogs. Two guppies together would be great. Just make sure that you get two females. Males need 2-3 females in with them. Two males would fight and hurt one another.

  2. NO! Betta's do NOT kill everything, but they do kill everything that they think is a male betta. The color full and long fins will trigger the betta to attack them. I say some peppered cory cats, at least 3 in there with the betta, but no more.

  3. The Betta will be good by itself, and maybe with a guppy.  It depends mainly on the Betta's personality.  The guppies would also go together.  As I have read in some of the other replies, it says that they will fight and in all my years of guppy breeding, I have NEVER had guppies fight.  They are a peaceful fish and get along great together.

  4. the betta good im just hoping the betta dont eat the guppy

so watch the tank if they happy it cool if they arent take the guppy out

  5. Betta abd maybe  3 neons would be good. I have a betta 8 neons and 3 dwarf corys in a 8 gal. Best of luck Angel

Edit: you could have both, just depends on your bettas personality. try one guppy then add another, neons would be better tho!

  6. You can put bettas in with other fish, but in 2.5 gallon aquarium that is only big enough for the betta.  If you were going to add a fish don't add guppys with a betta because they may mistake the guppys for another betta and attack them. Neons are good but again you will need a tank bigger than 2 gallons (at least a 5) with a filter, and heater.

Edit: I would go with the betta unless you know how to s*x guppies because they will breed like crazy if you just happen to get a male and female

  7. It depends on the betta. An aggressive betta would attack the guppy, most likely... especially in that size tank. I suggest only putting the betta in there and maybe a few ghost shrimp. Good luck.

  8. no never put a betta in with another fish a betta will kill anything but two guppies would be fine together dont even put two bettas in the same cage onless they r male and female and u no how to breeD them

  9. I would suggest to get 2 guppies.  Guppies are an easy fish to take care of, especially if your a beginner.  Because of the size of your tank I would suggest not to put a male and a female guppy together ( lots of babies).  If you put 2 male guppies together they will fight, one will  tend to be more dominant and aggressive, due to the fact of there being no females.  You can do 2 females, but there not as colorful and pretty as the males. I would suggest doing 1 guppy and putting in either a glow- line tetra, a platty, molly.  But if you are wanting just 2 guppies, you can have them be both males, they will just fight.
