Before you speak... listen

Before you wrtie...think

Before you spend...earn

Before you criticize...wait

Before you pray...forgive

Before you quit...try

Watch your "Thoughts,"

they become words;

Watch your "Words,"

they become actions;

Watch your "Actions,"

they become habits;

Watch your "Habits,"

they become character;

Watch your "Character",

for it becomes your "Destiny"

  1. Wisdom and guidelines

    If you followed them the plain field is smoother

  2. The only wisdom I can offer is  "before you do anything, have the end result in mind!"

  3. That is so beautiful but yet so true....

    Thanks Cheri

  4. I believe both. Wisdom that we should use as guidelines and apply to our daily lives.

    Before you speak... listen

    When you let the other person speak and genuinely listen to what they have to say, it shows that you are genuinely interested in what they have to say and actually care about them. It gives them a sense of importance. Besides, it shows that you are selfless and makes you more likable.

    Before you write...think

    Acting before thinking tends to get us into certain situations that we wish we were never stuck with in the first place. We've all been there.

    Before you spend...earn

    Good advice. I mean, who would want to be stuck with 22 years of debt? We all know how crazy credit card debts can get.

    Before you criticize...wait

    "The resentment that criticism engenders can demoralize employees, family members and friends, and still not correct the situation that has been condemned." (from Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People -- great book)

    The second part is one of the greatest facts of life.

    A thought is a seed that grows into one's tree of destiny.

    Great wisdom.

    Great advice.

    I applaud you for sharing that on Yahoo! Answers.

    (:

  5. Sounds like it could have come from the Holy Bible.
