Question:

Are these medicines metabolised in a similar way?

i am on theophyllin and prednisolone steroids (amongst other things) to control severe asthma. i have had some trouble keeping the theophyllin levels anywhere near the correct level, and my doctor says i metabolise it very quickly. i am not convinced steroids are actually helping me- so is there any similarity between how these medicines are metabolised? is it possible that i am not getting these medicines correctly???

thank you in advance.

  1. I know nothing about the steroids you are taking for your asthma but doctors don't really have the time to know all the side effects of how people may react to medications. Not only that but pharmaceutical companies can skew the research done on meds so they can sell them. I suggest googling these meds and I am sure you will find others who have personal experiences on these meds and will have a better idea of how it works.
