the outfit is ok but if you maybe took away the heels for some flip flops it would be better. the pajamas are... whoa. lol. it is perfectly normal for teens to experiment with clothing. maybe you should talk to your parents. good luck hope this helped! = D

Sleeping in lingerie is okay, a lot of people do because it's not like anyone sees them when they're sleeping, but with fishnets and stiletto's, I think not. Sleeping in any kind of tights is unhealthy for your skin to breathe. As for sleeping in a bra though, despite the fact that a ton of people do it, I've read a few places that it doesn't let your b***s grow as much as they should. I think she needs to realize that she's not the mistress of a politician (or something like that) in a romance novel and is a sixteen year old girl who needs to act her age. As for the school clothes, yes it is a little bit much, especially with the heels and the bra showing, but if she wore a pair of flats or low shoes and put something either over the strapless top or under it (besides her bra showing), and didn't have the skirt too short it wouldn't be that bad. I would let your mom or dad (or hers) in on how she acts. Technically they can't make her change, but having them be aware might help you out a little bit. I can see why you're a little bit freaked out.

There is no such thing as normal, she is 16, she is at the age of trying different things, seeing who she is and expressing herself. I would not worry to much, concentrate on how she is acting not what she is wearing. if she behaves in a way that is concerning then you need to deal with it but dressing a bit dirrenet is normal and harmless.

unless you are close with your sister and she respects your opinion you are not going to have luck convincing her to dress nicer. tell her how you feel. tell her she should have better self confidence because she is pretty and smart and you see that.

usually when young girls dress like this its for attention or they have so little self esteem they want to show skin to attract boys because( she thinks) just using their pretty face and personality isnt enough.

I think you already know the kind of message your step sis is sending and it's not a good one!  Those aren't even pjs!  That's lingerie or something a hooker would wear!  I think your family and some of her friends needs to have an intervention about the way she dresses.  Seriously!  She could end up getting raped!  She's just a lot less likely to attract pervs if she dresses more respective!  She may think that the guys all think that she's so "HOT" but they are really laughing at her behind her back and calling her names.  I know.  I dressed similar when I was in highschool and I cringe looking back now.  I think the way I dressed reflected by low self-esteem and I think I can say the same about your step sis!  Maybe try even talking to your school counsler and see if he/she has some advice on how to help her!  Maybe you could have a guy her age that everyone thinks is hot tell her that she looks like a "HO"!  It's kinda mean but it'll get the message through!

I'd say it's not common night time atire, but what does it hurt...she's just sleeping in them.  As for the clothes to school.....what are the parents thinking letting her dress this way?  No teenage girl should be dressed that way.

At 16, she is trying to experiment what it feels like to be grown up.  We laugh at our 3 year old when she wears high heels and a boa, topless, and baggy underwear.

Let her learn on her own that looking like w***e will not help her long term self image.
