Quite often these days, when I am out, indoors,on my own, with people or whatever, I get these spells where I feel really dizzy and lightheaded, and then my eyes seem to find it hard to focus and I have alot of difficulty breathing. I get them normally a few times a day and its awful. The more I panic the worse it gets, but I am always fine about 3-5 minutes later...it just passes. I have also fainted on two occasions, but they are just very qucik blackouts where I loose consciousness for about 2 seconds, fall and awake a second later on the floor. Please help? Could it be panic attacks?

  1. Here's a technique that I learnt to help me get through my panic attacks quickly...

I simply repeat the words 'cream cake' over and over in my head as quickly as I can without stopping.    You could use any word or words you like really but that's what I chose (because I like cream cakes).  It apparently works because it doesn't give your brain time to process the panicky thoughts and so helps you to relax again.  Seems strange I know ... but it works for me!

There's also a free ebook that I found really useful called 'Get Rid of Panic and Anxiety for Good'. If you want to take a look you can find it at: http://curepanicattacks.premiergold.info...    Even though I got it for free it has helped me absolutely loads!

  2. It is most likely panic attacks.  I had that with the dizziness and the lightheadedness.  Some people also faint with panic attacks. Do you have anxiety or OCD or have stress? If so thats probably why you get them so many times a day.  I have experienced this and know how bad it is.  You should go to the doctor so they could rule out any other possibilities.  There are things they can do that will help.  If you have any questions you can email me at stephrubenfeld@yahoo.com

don't be afraid i have experience in this.  GOOD LUCK!

  4. could be  prolly are although could be something more serious since you fainted you should go see a docter to make sure

  5. Yes, I used to get them and what you describe is identical. It started when I was 16. I have developed various techniques to control my anxiety level, so I don't get them anymore. The best one is to change my breathing habits.

I take deep breaths at the first sign of anxiety. Breath in through your nose, expanding your belly first, then out your mouth. Focus on an imaginary sphere just below your navel. This sounds nuts, but it works miracles. From what I've read, their is a nerve bundle there and thinking about it releases tension throughout your entire body!

Try doing this while lying down in your spare time, even if you're already relaxed. This alone can lead to deep meditation that could clear any energy blockages which might be causing the panic.
