Question:

Are these real NASCAR fans?

Any 'fans' they change the channel, or say they will quit watching because of how great Kyle Busch is doing this season, are these people real fans? Or fans of one driver and don't have any respect for the sport? If you dislike Kyle Busch its one thing, but quitting watching NASCAR over itis ridiculous. It just shows that some people are fans of a driver and not the actual sport, otherwise they would respect Kyles talent.

Do you think fans that say this were even real fans to begin with? I could never imagine not watching NASCAR, no matter who the driver was in victory lane.

Go kyle good job!

  1. they are real fans because they want to see a fight to the finish a real chase for the championship not someone who won the championship with 18 races left in the season... do football fans want to watch a game where there team is down 50 or 60 points be brutally honest with yourselves and your answer is no... we dont want people dominating this sport because there is no diversity and it isnt like last year where it was a team dominating this is a driver dominating not only one series but all three series how is this even right and how can you condone this. i dont think you are a real fan because you want to watch races where the winner is already chosen... no matter what race we go to it can be guranteed kyle will lead and it is a 99% chance he will win... i dont know what kind of NASCAR you like but this is not the kind of NASCAR i want to watch... i want to watch a race where you aren't sure who is going to win until they cross the finish line, i dont want a championship decided 18 races before the end i want it to go into the last race on the last lap to decide the championship winner... he has talent i will give you that but most of us dont care for him because of his sucky personality... get over yourself and let people have their opinions if they want to stop watching NASCAR let them because it isnt just Kyle ruining this sport it is NASCAR to begin with all the rules, all the requirements all the legaleses and what not what happen to just racing... any way i digressed these are real fans and they have a right to do what they please so let them go and leave them a lone

edit: bestan... or whatever your name is i never said that i said i cant believe you want to watch a race where the winner is predictable... i love racing this is my passion and i will never stop watching racing even now with kyle always winning i love racing... obvisiously you didnt read what i wrote i said a real fan want to see the spills the crashes, and want to experience the anxiety to see who wins this is nothing... it isn't racing if we are driving in a single file led by the same driver everytime

  2. no, they are not real fans. they never have been, and never will be. i can name a bunch of people on here who are posers, but i have way too much class in myself to just call them out.

    congrats kyle!!! win some more!!!

  3. Kyle Busch is the biggest jerk i have ever seen he drives dirty but he well never ever be a dale earnhardt of jeff gordon and layoff the fans you kyle "crybaby" Busch fan

  4. There are a lot of looonnggg answers to this question already but I'll just say this. I think *most* ppl on here are true nascar fans but sometimes people get pissed and say c**p like that when their driver is struggling or a driver they aren't too fond of is winning literally week in and out. I coincidently like Kyle. I must be the only Harvick fan in the world who does but I've always been fond of him ever since he started racing in cup. That said I do have some drivers that it really ticks me off to see win but there is no driver that could ever tick me off so bad I would just stop watching. I have too many other drivers I like watching race to do that. But I get what you’re saying and really can’t see a true fan stop watching just because a driver they aren’t fond of is going through a hot streak.

    Congrats Kyle! :]]

  5. YEP. that's NASCAR fans, alright. a lot of them have been this way since, I started following the sport, in the late sixties. You have fans like that in every sport. "My team is not winning enough. that other team wins, all the time. I'm going to take My marbles and, go home."

  6. There are many different types of fans... I know I've been frustrated with races, but somehow I always keep coming back.  We all say things out of anger... and most of us have even put down drivers we like/don't like out of heat-of-the-moment anger over how our drivers are doing.  I like NASCAR and I like my drivers...

I would say the only ones who aren't real fans are the people who jump from driver to driver every week or so.  But even they're keeping the sport alive, so I say the heck with it...

And, even though I'm frustrated with Kyle winning nearly every week... he is still one of my favorite drivers, and I have to say, good job!

  7. They aren't exactly loyal fans, now are they.  I say let them go...we don't need them.  I agree, it does get a little tedious when the same driver wins week after week, but that is no reason to turn your back on the greatest sport in my world.  I am no Kyle fan, but Congrats to him on the sweep!

    go Jr.>>>>

  8. to be honest, i could not possibly care less if someone else is watching kyle win all the time or not - i only care that i am watching. if they want to change the channel and not watch history in the making, as long as they are not changing the channel on my tv, i consider it their loss. i am secure enough in my own "fanhood" that i feel no need to question anyone else's.

and even being a die-hard long-time rowdy fan, i never even considered turning the tv off last year - watching gordon and johnson battle it out to the end was amazing as well. no, it was not ideal for me as a busch brothers fan, but it was compelling nonetheless. the only thing that came close was watching hornaday and skinner battle it out in the truck series last year, with both of them swapping the #1 spot back and forth right up to the last race...

  9. Back in the day when the pass in the grass took place I was madder than a wet cat but got over it. I have been watching racing since I was old enough to sit upright. Seeing Kyle dominate like he is may be boring at times but is also exciting too. It won't go on forever. Tonight for example. My guy was stuck back in 15/16 while his team mate lead and messed up and Kyle passed him. Had I quit watching just because Kyle was leading earlier while my guy was back in 30th I would have missed a great race. I may be a Jr fan but I am also a race fan. From Go carts to F1 If it smells of cam2 or alcohol and burnt rubber I am into it.

  10. I cannot stand Kyle Busch. But there is nothing that will keep me from watching a race. I do not think a real fan would really stop watching NASCAR because of him. Sometimes people are just venting. I've actually cried at the end of a race out of sheer frustration. So, I can totally see people saying their never watching again--but not really meaning it.

  11. They aren't real fans, and most likely don't understand the complexity of motorsports. I like watching a few other guys behind Kyle, but I like how happy Kyle looks when he's interviewed in winners circle. When he grabbed the announcer and shook him, it put a big smile on my face.

  12. These people are Whiners just like Kyle Busch! I watch racing!  Here's my song too NASCAR (tune of "Down South Junkin" by Lynard Skynard)

"Well Larry Mac called he said racing day was looking fine!

Qualifying was done, Rusty's got on his checkered tie.

Now the gates are open, so don't be late.

Anthem sung, start your engines, Hey ain't it great!

I'm a NASCAR Junky, just wishin I could get a ride!

Now back in the day there was moon shiners in the field.

Ya know the sand and street of Daytona Beach really had it's appeal.

Today it's Young Guns, short tracks and super speedways!

I love night racin' on Hot summer days!

Cause I'm a NASCAR Junky, just wishin I could get a ride!

Cup, Nation, Truck it's all racin' and I don't care!

Modifieds, Outlaws, local tracks, hey I'm always there!

    I don't care for Ball games, but Bowlin's o.k.

Hey if you want to get me goin it's Racing I Crave!

I'm just a NASCAR Junky, and I'm wishin I could get a Ride!

    Call me Jr."

  13. I'm not sure. There is probably nothing that could happen to make me quit watching NASCAR. It's an adrenaline rush no matter who wins. They might not be fans, it is dumb to quit watching NASCAR because of a driver and team that has done their homework, and it's all paying off. Kyle deserves his success, he works hard every week, and loves to race. If people don't like him for it, they have problems of their own, probably.

  14. I am Not a Kyle fan, and I will Never stop watching Nascar.  I'm kinda like Winter Glory, last yr I got bored watching Jeff/Jimmy win every wk.  I think that was due to a whole different reason though.  Hendrick's had the cot figured out first, he did his home work.  This yr the other teams have caught up, and maybe Kyle's team knows something that the other teams haven't quite got yet.  Not to mention Kyle is an Awesome driver.  I've heard debates on the extra hp that the toys have, etc, etc

To me it takes two things to have a winner:  The Driver, and the Car.  Both  And it is Everything to have that car set up right.  I don't like Kyle's attitude, but Man he is an Awesome driver, he flat out out drove Jimmy tonight!  lol

But yes, it would be nice to have a different winner now, and then, my driver would be Great!

  15. Thank you for speaking the truth!  People get upset and jealous when their driver isn't winning all the time. Congrats Kyle Busch!

  16. I know people rooting for Kyle that don't even watch Nascar they just like him because other people don't.

People have a right to their opinion I just hope they watch until the end of the season-Kyle fan or not-the chase hasn't even started yet-and when it does there will be 12 drivers going for it!! .

A lot of people forget how far ahead Jeff Gordon was last year before the chase and he didn't even win last year-because Jimmie Johnson finished better than he did pretty much every race.....if not all-so it's a long way from over!

  17. I'm not really what you'd call a Kyle Busch fan. I'm a Gordon guy myself. That said- when the race ended and Kyle won, it was a great sports moment.

I can't deny "Wild Things" talent and his great support from JGR and Toyota.

Even though Busch's dominance, and Jimmie's last year got old, I cannot see myself leaving the sport.

Things go in cycles, and even Busch himself knows this streak won't last forever. However- that's not to say Busch won't have a 50+ win career with at least a pair of Cups.

  18. they are just steaming right now and went to pout in the corner.  They will be back in front of the TV next weekend.

  19. Those are not real fans. I HATE Kyle Busch but I dont change the channel. I just scream at the TV and boo him.

  20. I hated last year when Old Man Hendrick won half the races. So I love seeing Kyle dominate now that he's out of a stinking Chevy!

  21. i agree with some what these fans have said that it does get boring when the same driver wins week in and week out. yes these are real fans. they have a right to not like certain driver.but last year when gordon and johnson were winning back and forth until the end and not any other drivers were winning people get bored and alot of times say things when they are really to point of boredom and need a few days to chill out.

they are real fans they may say, "IM NOT GONNA WATCH NASCAR ANYMORE!!" They come back soon enough to watch the greatest sport again. you have to give them time to cool off they will come back and watch it again even if it means that they dont watch for a year.Yeah they may miss a few great races. HECK some of them even turn on their tv and go about cleaning or working around the house and come in and glance at what is going on because they are so tired of the same person winning. i know some people that after the race is over say that and they go punch things and come back and watch the race.

IM SURE that some of you loath a certain driver and if he kept winning you would say that out of boredom. it gets old like rotten eggs you want more people fighting for the point standings but not knowing that before the season is over we know who is going to win. hey if that is going to happen that would be pretty boring to watch the race knowing that this person is going to win the cup and your driver cant. IM will still watch even though i dislike some people very strongly. BUT i will still watch for my favorite drivers. but even when my two favorites dont win cause something happened i have a few other drivers that i like seeing win. and some i dont care for-i dont like them and dont care for them and then the ones who i hate but i watch to see what they say and what my drivers say.

  22. Yes, real fans to begin with. But it gets old watching the same ole thing over and over. You can have a favorite movie or song you like to watch or listen to over and over.... but eventually it gets old. And when you have a driver thats not your favorite winning over and over, it gets old. You get to the point you are tired of watching the same darn thing every weekend. So therefore you just don't want to mess with watching it anymore.

  23. Go easy on them, I swore I was giving up, and never watching again if Jimmie Johnson or Jeff Gordon won another single race last year, come Monday afternoon, I was anticipating next weeks race. They don't really mean it..
