Are these safe for my cockatiel?

Are these scoobies safe for my cockatiel, I was wondering if i could make toys using these for my cockatiel and whether these would be safe for my cockatiel. So are they.

  1. I don't think I would use them.  It seems they are made of plastic?  Besides the danger of  your bird becoming entangled, there is some danger that he may ingest pieces.

    You can find paper string that might be appropriate for toy making.  Just be certain that you don't use lengths that could wrap around your bird's legs, feet or toes or that he could become otherwise entangled in.  You might also look for some vegetable tanned leather lacing.

  2. I only use leather string strips to make bird toys.

  3. um i wouldn't  put them in there for they could brake it and choke, cockateils mostly like cuddle bones and popstickle sticks like that so  

  4. I would not advise using any product that has string or rope in it's make up,as your bird could swallow the fibres with disastrous results.

    You are better off getting some Apple,Pear or Willow twigs for them to play and chew on.
