  1. As long as your not choosy they will do you just fine.

  2. The Ninja 250cc is a great bike. It has enough power to be safe and is a good looker.

I would go with the 05.

  3. i would see how minor the road rash is on the 2005 model and probably get that one. seems like a great price, good luck

  4. Couldn't say.  kbb.com may.

If you are a girl, why not go with something comfortable?  There are 250cc cruisers in the same price range.

  5. I use Kelly Blue Book for estimated values. For the Ninja 250 it's as follows:

2005: $2345 (valued more than the asking price from the link)

2006: $2460 (valued less than the asking price from the link)

This link will help you find the price of any future bike:

Also, what really comes down to the value of the bike is how well it is maintained regardless of mileage. Use the Blue Book value as a place to start negotiating. But most important, ask about the history of the bike - how it was ridden (long trips, racing) and cared for (tire inflatrion, oil changes, brake service). Those determine how good the bike is and what problems you may have.

In summary, the 2005 looks like a better deal and has less miles. The owner also seems very honest about the way the bike was cared for.

I bought a used Ninja 250 and the guy who had it before me really screwed up the carbs. It cost me almost $600 in labor and parts to get the bike running properly again. These are the things that sometimes you just don't know about until you've had the bike for a while.

    Good luck!

  6. It isn't like your getting a great deal but it's about a normal price for the 05' the 06' is s bit pricey though. If you can stand to wait and get one you will get a lot better deal when riding season is over.

  7. I would go with the '05. Lower miles, seems honest about the maintenance. There is no mechanical difference between the "06 and '05.

    Ride safe.
