The shoes look quite strong and sturdy so they should be good for hiking.

I have some hiking shoes quite similar to that and they have lasted me 3 years so far.

yeah, looks sturdy and will provide ankle protection from sprains. I've been skirmishing with my mates and luckily i wore my boots, while running and trying to find cover while being shot at there was a large stone i didn't see, i twisted my ankle into a very awkward position would have damaged my ankle pretty badly had it not been for the boots i was wearing. =D

yeh it looks like it but make sure you brake them in before you go
