Are they both just messing with me?

I'm at home just sitting around and playing games when my friend asks if I was texting my ex. At that same moment my ex sends me a message as if though I've been texting her. I say no to my friend but i don't reply to my ex because we had argued a few days ago to the point where she said that she never wanted to talk to me anymore. My friend asks me what my ex is saying to me. I tell her and she asks again if I have replied to her (my ex) and again i say no. I ask why whats wrong. My friends says that she's drunk, which i'm always hearing about her. I reply to my friend and tell her to just tell my ex to leave me alone. A few minutes later my ex texts me saying, "Omg i'm not drunk". I ask my friend if she's talking to my ex to which she says no. I ask her how is my ex finding out about our conversation then. She gives me the typical, " I don't know", answer. I ask, "well did she see your phone", and she says no. I start to tell her that she is talking to my ex and she keeps denying it. I finally give her a example on how my ex knows about what we're talking about and my friend starts to run out of excuses. At the end i tel her, " well there are only three ways she knows what we're talking about, you're telling her, she's reading it off your phone or she's reading your mind". With that said my friend finally just says, " if you don't want to believe me then don't, i'm going to bed bye." I want to know if they were both in on it and if so how can I get my "friend" to tell me.

OMG...I have been in excatly the same senario.  And it a crappy thing to go through.  Obviously I cant say yes or no to whether they are playing with you, but in my case they were.  Hunny, the only advice I can give you is "what ever you focus on you attract" if it turns out that they are indeed messing with you, good for them, if they wanna act like high schoolers and think its funny, they will soon learn important life lessons..But for you, life is short, truth always comes out, get on with your life until it does.  stress is a killer, and really, when you think about it, is this c**p really that important? Love life, it is what you make it. :)
