I know that this vote isnt the real thing.. But is the drinking age gunna be lowered soon??

I dont want bullcrap response's just let me know if its gunna be lowered and tell me how you know that?.....

  1. I sure hope not.

35 years ago many states lowered the drinking age to 19 for Beer and Wine and the drunk driving deaths went thru the roof and the drinking age was raised again to 21.

    Its a bad idea.

  2. No it will never be lowered they are actually trying to raise it to 25. I honsetly don't think an 18 yr old would be responsible enough to drink on a regular basis. It's actually frightning to even think about. But there you go

  3. i wish but no because they don't want a lot of dui to deal with

  4. I hope so because I want to drink when I turn 18

  5. I'm 42 and I feel the drinking age should be 18, If you can vote, Join the military, Then I feel you should be able to drink....

  6. No...lol.  They said that 30 years ago and they will say it 30 years from now.

  7. 18 was legal in my state during the early 70s.  Problem was high schoolers were buying for the those 15-17 y/o, & a few were showing up drunk in school.  A few of them ruined it for the rest.

Doubtful, we'll see again anytime soon > though I know the makers & sellers are all for it.

  8. Several states are looking into it, but insanity...err abstinence groups like MADD are fighting it tooth and nail. Personally, I don't think it will ever fly...the subject comes up ever couple of years and the average politician is more concerned about not pissing off the soccer moms who do vote than pleasing the 18-20 year olds who don't. Should they lower it...yes. It has done far more harm than good.

  9.   It is an open discussion here in North Dakota...it was on the news last night.   I doubt if it will even reach legislation level.

  10. if only we were in europe i wouldve been drinking already. Yea, most likely.

  11. No one knows what "they" will do or when.

It makes sense to me to bring the drinking age back down to 18.

If you can marry and make babies, drive, fight for your country, vote, enter into legal contracts such as student loans without parent co-sign; Makes sense to me you old enough to drink.

Prohibition has, historically not worked.  Teens are dying of alcohol poisoning and other alcohol related disorders, despite the current prohibition. Maybe allowing drinking at age 18 will reduce binge drinking and other problems we see now in underage drinkers under current prohibition.
