Are they going to build a train depot in laporte indiana?

i am really freaked out about this train thing is it true and when are they goining to do it

If there are tracks there, it is a possibility.  If not, the construction of a depot is unlikely.  

But why freak out?

What kind of train?    

Amtrak passenger depot--   New Buffalo and Michigan City,   to close to put a stop in LaPorte.

Commuter rail--  wouldn't be a bad idea,  especially in light of the traffic problems on I80 and the Skyway.   Check with Chicago transit or your mayor's office.

If you refer to a TOFC/COFC  facility,  it would greatly increase traffic in the region.   Get with your city officials and get it stopped.

There already is a depot in Laporte, I go by it almost every day.  It's the old brick structure right next to the tracks, hard to miss.

Now, if you're talking about the intermodal facility that they want to build in Laporte, sounds like it's going to get turned down.  Too many people freaking out like you.
