Question:

Are they going to hire longshoremen this year (2008) for local 13 in Long Beach, Ca.? How can I get in?

Trying to get in for a long time now. I heard different things about this contract. Does anybody know or can help?

  1. My uncle actually works there,but for Local 26. He said one of his friends is in Local 13,and something about how the contract for the longshoremen was up.But they agreed to pay them the same amount. It took him about 2 years to get in and that was in...2005 so he said they might be hiring this year.Sorry this probably didn't help much but i told u all i knew =]
