Are they going to make a Pirates of the Caribbean 4?

There is nothing for sure yet, but if there is it will most likely come out in 2011.  Disney has officially hired Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio (the writers) to explore writing a script for a 4th one, so they're gonna see where it goes.  

            

      Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley have both publicly stated that they have no wish to star in another POTC movie, so Will and Elizabeth most likely won't be in it.  However, both Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush have said that they are eager to be in more Pirates of the Caribbean movies, so if there is a 4th one it will probably focus on Captain Jack Sparrow and Barbossa.  

      

        There are rumors that the 4th movie will either be a low-budget film or a Sci-Fi movie, but Disney has not acknowledged these rumors, so I don't believe them.  

        

        If there is a fourth movie, the plot will probably focus on the Aqua de Vida (Fountain of Youth translated back from Latin), because at the end of At World's End, Jack was seen looking at a map showing the way to the "Aqua de Vida" which is located in what appears to be Florida, and there is a ship labeled Ponce de Leon, a Spanish explorer who supposedly discovered the Fountain of Youth in Florida.  

So basically there's pretty much a 50/50 chance right now.
