Are they going to make our poor old queen work until she drops? whatever happened to pensioners rights?

Isn't there a slightly younger old queen who could take over?

  4. She works through choice. It is her dedication to duty that keeps her there - she has the option to 'retire' (abdicate) if she so chooses - she sees her Royal Duties as a privilege to serve not a chore and intends to continue until her death, just as her father did.

  13. Elizabeth II took an oath at her coronation to be Queen for life and I believe she has every intention of keeping this oath.

    Or perhaps you are referring to a different kind of "old queen".  If so, perhaps it would be nice for everyone if a younger "old queen" assumed the responsibilities.

  14. No-one is making her continue. She has the right to move over & allow Charles to be King any time she chooses.

    In all seriousness, if you were her would you realy want to  move over for him?  I certainly wouldn't.
