Are they really going to change bs stadium to bob ackles stadium?

Although some fans online have suggested that BC Place be renamed Bob Ackles Place, there is currently no plan to do such a thing.  According to a report on Canada.com, here are the official plans of tribute from the Lions starting with their July 18th home game:

- A post-game ceremony after the July 18th games, which will last for approximately 20 minutes, will feature a video presentation shown on the stadium's big screen as well as other tributes.

- A large centre-field emblem -- which will be for that game only -- featuring the name "Bob" inside the team's original logo, a mountain lion's paw.

- A commemorative button similar to the helmet logo will be given out to all fans attending the July 18 contest.

- A helmet logo that will be worn by the players for the rest of the season featuring the same lion's paw with the full name Bob Ackles in capital letters. Also on the helmet decal will be the words "Be the best you can be," which, according to Chayka, was one of Ackles' favourite mottos.
