  1. I dont think they will have to release him i think he will go aherad and hang it up they prolly will give him time to search with his agent to find a deal so after he got cut he could sign and not just fall off like Bonds but if he cant find a deal he will go ahead and hang it up

  2. His best days are behind him.  The Cardinals can't use him in a pressure situation.  He really has no value to the team any more.  Its just the facts.  Eventually players get older and can't compete at the level needed for the major leagues. Izzy had a great career but sometime it has to end.  If realeasing him is the best move for the team that is what has to happen.

  3. Haven't heard of anything, but isn't he lacking this season?

  4. i heard it too they dont have many space in the bull pen and their closer will be Franklin

  5. I hadn't heard that.... but it should be true - he's horrible this year and aging.

  6. Well, he sucks now, so whether you like it or not, he's just holding back the Cards.

  7. hopefully i'd be happy if they paid somebody for him

  8. Ive never heard that but I doubt that they are cause he still wants to get his 300th save in a Cardinals' uniform.

  9. Oh man I hope its true, that man is the center of our troubles of 25+ blown saves this year, but our bullpen needs a complete overhaul, we should have easily had 3 of these 4 games vs. the Brewers, now we're on the outside looking in
