Are they scammers?

Question

uhm ok today, my parents called up these people to hook up a cable/dish thingie for our new HD/TV.

but thing is, i have a bad feeling they are scammers, for 2 reasons

1) Their vehicle does not have the product's icon and phone number or w/e on their car (you no wut i mean, those cars that when u order sumthing, ull see their store picture thingie w/ fone numbers)

2) its been over 2hrs since they have been trying to set up the satillite thing on the roof of our house

(and of course without doubt it shudnt take THAT long)

any suggestions?!?

They are most likely sub-contractors for the Dish/DTV company.  It could take several hours to have it installed and to find the signal.   If you are worried, call the company that is providing the service to your parents.  Make sure they are set up for a service call.   Dish, no longer uses sub-contractors, so your parents are probably using Direct TV...
