  1. ID's are not required in Spain,. unless you look much younger than you are. As long as you look over 16, you will be able to get in most places.

I would reccomend, however, that you do take some identification with you. Just for reference.

The police do ask young people for identification sometimes in the street, if the group is being too rowdy.

If you stay cool, and don't overindulge, you'll be fine!

  2. No. I worked in Europe as a waitress and

I never have to ask for ID. I don't know if the laws have changed but, if the customer looks  less than 18 as long as they parents were with him was OK to serve alcohol.

  3. from my experience the bouncers are not very strict at all about id for bars in spain - they just want to sell alcohol. however it is the law to carry I.D on yourself at all times!

  4. No. ~ I D is immaterial, however most Spaniards DO have an ID card (DNI) in their purse or wallet.

There is usually a strict dress code in decent nightclubs.

There is no problem with bars. Under aged looking people will not be served spirits. Anyone turning up dressed as an English football supporter may be refused entry.

Unlike in England, it is not normal for people who have had a few too many to be served more booze.

Being drunk is viewed as anti-social, common and stupid.

  5. When I went there some years ago I was about 15 and never had any problems to enter a nightclub or bar.

I don't know how it's nowadays, but Europeans tend to be less strict than in U.S.

  6. I live on the Costa Blanca (laws are the same on any costa) and go to places like Pacha all the time - me and my BF are both 23 and he is spanish and he always advises me to take ID. i would advise u to take it if u are going to big name clubs. The smaller clubs and Disco Bars are pretty easy to get served in, and most of them dont have doormen. Just remember the age to drink in Spain is now 18,

    fun and keep safe

  7. no ID in Europe to go in nightclubs or disco

  8. Not at all! Your get into the clubs no probs,as long as you look over 16yrs!

  9. No not particularly, however you should always carry some form of ID with you at all times in Spain, as if you are stopped you have to be able to prove who you are.  The Spanish police will make exceptions if you are not Spanish but it is best to carry some ID anyway.

  10. It depends how old you are, if you are over 18 and look it then you will be O.K. but if you look young for your age they may want to see your passport. It has tightened up quite alot in recent years.

  11. i went their once their r very strict
