Are they turning the last harry potter book into two movies?

i read somewhere that they were going to push back the date for the half blood prince movie to make it a closer release to the final two movies.........does thaat mean that the final book is going to be two movies??

Yes, the Deathly Hallows will be divided into two movies, two separate full-length films. The films, which will simply be called "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II," will be filmed concurrently by director David Yates, who previously helmed both the series' fifth and sixth installments, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." Part 1 will be released in November 2010, while the Part 2 is slated for May 2011.

Yes because they didn't want to leave anything out. When books are made into movies, alot of the elements of the book get left out; resulting in many angry fans. They thought that all elements and details in DH were too important to leave out.

Yes, HP and the Deathly Hallows is going to be two movies, that has been confirmed a while ago. I don't think they are pushing the release of HP and the Half-Blood Prince back to make it closer to the final two, it's because of money, movies make more money in the summertime.

Just a correction for an above answer.  Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes out on November 21, 2008.  Not July 2009.  The first part of the Deathly Hallows comes out in 2010 if all goes well and 2011 for the second part.

yeah i read that too. i am glad that they are making the last one into two. since movie 4 i think they've pretty much stunk because the had to cut so much out.
