  1. Yes. These things have been occuring for thousands of years. Check your local library for books on it.

  2. Let's see...

Yo are getting smarter, smarter, smarter, sma ...

    Nope, sorry doesn't work.

  3. Hypnosis is real.  There's nothing paranormal about it though.  Some people can be hypnotized while others can't.  Those that are hypnotized can do nothing more or tell you anything more than a normal, fully conscious human being.

Telekinesis has never been demonstrated.  Until it has I think it's safe to assume it doesn't exist.

  4. There is no  docymented proof of or against it

Please give me some points and when i get to level to ill give u best answer like 20 times

  5. YES

  6. Hypnosis is kind of real. For example you can't hypnotize someone if the don't want to be.Telekinesis is now known by the PC term psychokinesis. It's still never been demonstrated to be real. So, I'll say it's no it's as phony as pro wrestling.

  7. Yes. So is ESP, telepathy, etc.

  8. Yes, yes, yes. They are kind of the same thing, although hypnosis is usually more voluntary. Telekineses usually happens in prepubesant years when the pre-teen or teenager is going through their "changes" Others can do this with their will as in any levitational experience. But it can be misdiagnosed as a "poltergeist or noisy spirit"

either way I think it is your unconcious will working with or without your direction.

  9. Hypnosis can work. Some people swear by it.

Telekinesis has never been proven and is much more sci-fi .

  10. 'Fraid not.  I've seen many hypnosis shows, and seriously, it was like watching my high school drama club rehearse.  People were just going along with it - they wouldn't have been able to tell them to do something they wouldn't have normally done, if, say, they were mildly drunk.

Telekinesis doesn't work either.  Sure, plenty of people have claimed otherwise - but none of them can prove it.  If they could, they could win a million bucks from this guy ( http://www.randi.org ) and the Nobel Prize.  So why don't they?  Because they can't.  No one can.  Sorry.

  11. Hypnosis seems to be real because it works on some people. I'm not sure about telekinesis, I haven't experienced it yet!

  12. Hypnosis: yes.  Telekinesis: No -- much like aliens, monsters and ESP.

  13. hypnosis only works on the willing, and no telekinesis is bunk.

  14. Hypnosis is absolutely real -- it is an altered mental state, equivalent to day-dreaming or light sleep -- and can be measured on an EEG -- can be induced under controlled consistent conditions, etc.

TK is a much more debatable situation -- many people consider it real, and have evidence to support their claims -- but it is much harder to reproduce consistently -- and some scholars have not seen any controlled studies that show it exists or can be used at will -- so that's a more subjective question.

  15. There are those who claim to have been hypnotized, and thousands swear by it. It may perhaps be real in the sense of suggestibility, and/or self delusion.

Many researchers have pointed out altered brainwave patterns in those hypnotized, but many fail to make the same connection to similar brain patterns while sleeping , in meditation etc. The jury is still out as to the validity of hypnosis, but it cannot be denied that what whatever it's basis be it psychosomatic, or what have you, it HAS helped many people who BELIEVE it helps them.

As far as telekinesis is concerned, it has NEVER been demonstrated in a carefully controlled laboratory setting.

The famed pseudo-psychic Uri Geller made phenomenal claims, and indeed made himself a millionaire by  claiming that illusions performed by stage magicians (Harry Blackstone, Robert Houdini, James Randi et al.) long before he came on the scene were real, and he was a TRUE mentalist. He was never able to produce the results under controlled conditions, and as for his believers, like it or not, he was exposed as a fraud when he attempted to "cheat" in his efforts.

He made a sad sack explanation for his cheating by saying that the conditions stifled his natural talents, and he cheated merely to make people believe that his "real" natural powers were legitimate.

While very highly unlikely, I'd sooner believe that Bigfoot were real over so-called "psionic powers".

  16. YES!

  17. yes.

  18. hypnosis = suggestion : yes

telekinesis: not even at the atomic level

  19. i know for a fact hypnosis is real, not too sure on telekinesis!

  20. yes,by hypnosis who is mentally upset person can be cured.

  21. Hypnosis is real as far as practical application is concerned like post hypnotic suggestions and relaxation, it can also create false memories which is why it is unreliable in recalling memories of everything from child abuse to alien abductions. Hypnosis was once thought to be paranormal and is included in the 1901 book by F.W.H. Myers "Human Personality and It's Survival of Bodily Death"

There are skeptics that still debate hypnosis because like ESP it has no very solid theory that explains its existence or method of functioning.

I have included a link below to div. 30 of the American Psychological Association - Society of Psychological Hypnosis

Telekinesis is now called psychokinesis (PK) in the current scientific research literature. There have been experiments that provide evidence for it's existence but this evidence remains controversial. I have included 3 links below for you so you can read up on the research if you wish.

  22. I can say yes, definitely, to hypnosis.

I've heard of telekinesis, saw it on tv but not in person so I can't verify that.

  23. Hypnosis is real. Telekinesis has no foundation in reality.

I wrote a paper on it in college and found no evidence that

    seemed reliable.

  24. not sure about telekinesis, but i know hypnosis is real. It relaxes u to the point where u don't care what you do. You don't get embarrassed, you don't question authority u just do what ur told.

  25. Hypnosis is real but it doesn't work on everyone ... I can hypnotize others, I can hypnotize myself, but others have never been able to hypnotize me for some reason.  Telekinesis is an 'unknown' ... it' has never been 'proven' to scientific standards, but some people claim to be able to do it, but they seem to have the ability only under 'untestable' circumstances.

  26. I think so.

  27. look deeply into my eyes....you will send me $100,000.00

    did it work?

    d**n.

  28. yes .that would be positive, such things can be accomplished

When Franz Anton Mesmer and Grigori Rasputin were first popularizing hypnosis, the legend came about that a person who was hypnotized would be able to demonstrate ESP. Carl Sargent, a psychology major at the University of Cambridge, heard about the early claims of a hypnosis–ESP link and designed an experiment to test whether they had merit. He recruited 40 fellow college students, none of whom identified him- or herself as having ESP, and then divided them into a group that would be hypnotized before being tested with a pack of 25 Zener cards, and a control group that would be tested with the same Zener cards. The control subjects averaged a score of 5 out of 25 right, exactly what chance would indicate. The subjects who were hypnotized did more than twice as well, averaging a score of 11.9 out of 25 right. Sargent's own interpretation of the experiment is that ESP is associated with a relaxed state of mind and a freer, more atavistic level of consciousness. Skeptics believe that Sargent's experiments lacked proper controls.
