thinking of breeding my thoroughbreed retired racehorse with a registered appaloosa stallion
Tags:
I have a tb x appaloosa and he has no spots at all! he's a great horse but big, 16.3hh and still growing. His dad was a leopard spot appaloosa (16.3hh) and his mum a bay tb (16.2hh). He has a great temperament and is really quick to learn things. Every horse is different but from my experience this is a great cross!! :D

I own an appy/TB, he might not be the most beautiful, but he is well built, has great manners, loves people and I have NEVER seen a horse try as hard as he does! He can do everything, and anything, and is a great jumper and will jump with just a halter. He is also registered.

i've seen GORGEOUS thoroughbred/appy crosses and I've seen pitiful ones. It really is a gamble, but as previously mentioned, it really depends on the coloring of both horses. And you can cross register, I've seen it before.
