Are those butterflies?

I know that butterfly look like they are pretty and can be colorful. I know that a moth look like,they are tan color. But what are the little white butterfly called? butterflies?

if it's flying during the day it's almost certainly a b'fly.. and since i know specifically what insect you're refering to.. yes they are butterflys..

b'fly hold their wings up when at rest and moths fold them down

yes; all moths aren't  tan.

some come in pretty colors.

just like butterflies.

and butterflies also come in a multitude of colors.

there are many different types of butterflies, I would suggest that that butterfly was a different type eg different breeds of dogs, a labrador is a different type of a dog
