I have found that those who shout loudest for others to get a life are those who spend the most time here.

I work bloody hard and this is my downtime, my f*g breaks and my coffee breaks.

I'm retired, thanks to my husband, so since the house is clean (clean enough where I wouldn't be ashamed if unexpected company showed up) and it's raining...I think I'm fine being on here.

Look at how many points I have - I am very sad!  And right now I have nothing at all to do... just finished college so I have one little part time job and I'm loking for real work - but with no luck...

Oh dear - sad category choices!

Yes - I should be tidying up.  Or doing the gardening.

The house is a tip, the garden is a wilderness - but it is easier to sit here answering silly questions (and read the latest book I am on) than do anything really constructive.

Don't you think our time spent on here is more productive than lollygagging around town with our friends? We're helping people by answering questions and imparting our wisdom. We could change someone's life with one of our answers!! I think that's a greater accomplishment than smelling the roses.

I cooould be doing Uni work, as it is my final submission for post grad - imagine the relief when it is over? Yet I find myself seeking distractions!!

I could also be at the gym yet I find myself seeking distractions!!

No, I am an employed person sitting at my desk bored with no work to do.  I would much rather be home goofing off, but I need that weekly paycheck so I keep showing up and wasting time on YA all day.  Oh, that is kind of sad, isn't it?

When I have checked my mail, or looked something up and have nothing immediate to do I open up answers and answer the first question I can read.  This is seldom the first question, although to be fair, yours was both first and the first that was readable.

Yes there are loads of other things I would love to do and loads of places I would like to go but can't because of medical and disability reasons. Not everyone on here is sad and some of us have a limitation of what we can do.

No there is nowhere else I need to be, nor anything else I should be doing. I live with the kids on my own, so it's this, or watch TV. This is much more interesting.

If I'm sad, and have no life, I actually don't care. My life is my boys, I'd much rather be here looking after them than out without them.

I haven't been on since Thursday.Infact I even left the country, never mind the computer.No I'll admit to being slightly addicted.Curiosity gets the better of you and you just keep coming back to see what's going on.It's almost like a little soap opera.LOL!

some probably do not have anything better to do and some are clearly sad (you can see that in their answers)

some come on here to entertain themselves for short periods of time ....i don't see much wrong with that

there are some who seem to need to spend their time on here posting their rants for massive amounts of time .....and i guess that is a little sad

but each to their own ...... i have a job and family so sometimes don't have time to visit yahoo......but it is there when i do have the time .....so long may it continue
