Are those toothpastes that repair or build up enamel effective?

... like the brandname types from Crest and Colgate ?

If they really work, can you stop using it after your enamel has been built up enough ?

Im not sure about Crest and Colgate, but i got A toothpaste called MiPaste from my dentist.

EDIT: Yes the MiPaste is very effective! :)

all's fake

first these brands ruin ur enamel to make ur teeth shine like diamonds

then they sell u new pastes to repair ur enamel

No toothpaste can actually repair or build enamel.  It's another marketing ploy.  All they can do is get your teeth clean enough for them to be "remineralized", which is not the same thing as enamelized.  Once you lose tooth enamel, it's gone for good.
