  1. Tomatoes are a veggie, even though they have seeds and grow on a vine like fruit. But Not all veggies grow under ground. Many veggies do grow on vines, and have seeds.

So if fruits grown on vines & have seeds, does that make cucumbers, grapes, squash, and zuccinni fruits even tho they're veggies?!!!!! Some one answer me THAT

  2. Fruits, they don't grow under ground.

  3. Fruit

  4. They are fruit because they have seeds and are grown on a vine.

  5. They are technically fruits but have recently been reclassified by the FDA as a vegetable or a fruit.

  6. Plant scientists say tomatoes are fruits because they contain seeds. However, most nutritionists think of tomatoes as vegetables because they contain so few calories compared to other fruits. A medium apple, for example, contains about 80 calories while a medium tomato contains only 20 calories.
