Are topps baseball cards going to be worth a lot?

I am a collector of baseball cards. i usually buy topps baseball cards, but i hve a feeling that they arent going to be worth a lot. those anyone know wat type of brand sells baseball cards that will be worth a lot when I grow up?

If you're collecting cards just to make money I suggest you do something else like stocks and bonds.

There's no telling which of today's cards are going to be worth something 10 years from now.  I think due to the quantity of different sets and cards there probably won't be any particular card worth a ton of money.  You should collect for the enjoyment of it and not for profit.

i got like a million of them 10 years ago and im just planning to hold onto them for 30-40 years and then ebay them

Topps is the "standard" brand of cards. They aren't the most expensive, but at the same time they are the cheapest. If you are buying current cards, I'd say you probably wont make what you are paying for them, unless you happen to pull some very rare insert cards.

As for the brand that has the most potential for manking some money, Bowman. The reason is that they release players 1st cards. basically the "pre-rookie." The also have autographed rookie cards, and parallel sets that can go down to numbered out of 5, in some cases 1. These insert cards have the best potential to help you recover the money you spent, and then some. So I say the best brand is Bowman.

Another idea, is to look for old cards at a flea market or yardsale. The older cards 50's-70s can really turn around for you due to their age and rarity. Once cards hit the 80's and early 90's, they were overproduced, so they hare very common and have a low value.

its not really about the brand of cards, but the type of card (how many are still in circulation) and the condition of a card

Im sure a mint condition Topps Joe Somebody card is going to be worth more than a decent condition Upper Deck Joe Somebody Card, even if the Upper Deck card is valued higher
